For the position of CEO for the Afghanistan Enterprise Organization, Greg Mortenson applied. (Northouse, Ch9, “Authentic Leadership”). Besides, such leaders should be able to communicate their authenticity through personal confidence, resilience, optimism, and clarity(Reid, W2, S14).
Some traits, such as coherent behavior and being true to the long-term goals and to himself, Mortenson as already exerted. However, building transparency and trustworthiness is two key traits Mortenson ought to be willing to work towards.
